Q: My new Yellowjacket email account automatically logs me into my hotmail or MSN account. What should I do?

A: Your BHSU email is now provided through Microsoft Live @edu. This service is very similar to hotmail or msn email, and may automatically log you into your hotmail account. If this occurs, please select the log out link in the upper right-hand corner and then on the login page, select sign-in with a different account. Use your BHSU login information and you will be logged into your BHSU email.

Your BHSU e-mail is transforming.

On Tuesday, August 18, 2009 your e-mail/network accounts will be changing.  You will have a new e-mail address.

Three important things for you to know and do:

1.  Your e-mail address and network login will be changing to Firstname.Lastname@yellowjackets.bhsu.edu

2.  Beginning  Tuesday, August 18, 2009, You can login using your new account, Firstname.Lastname@yellowjackets.bhsu.edu

You will be able to obtain your new account information (password, WebAdvisor ID, and D2L ID) at http://www.bhsu.edu/loginhelp/.    Check your new e-mail at http://mail.yellowjackets.bhsu.edu.

Student email is now provided by Microsoft Live@edu.

3.  Your previous BHSU e-mail address will continue to function through November 1, 2009

E-mails that are sent to your old BHSU e-mail address will automatically be delivered to your new e-mail address.   You will continue to have access to the old account through November 1, 2009.  Messages currently in your st.bhsu.edu inbox will be transferred to your new yellowjackets.bhsu.edu account.  If you have items in your sent items folder or any subfolder in your st.bhsu.edu account, they will need to be manually forwarded to your new account.  You can do so by logging into your st.bhsu.edu account at https://mail.bhsu.edu and forwarding each mail item separately.  If you do not need any items other than your inbox messages, you will not need to do anything.

The days of having a full mailbox are over!
