Included in this collection are the Black Hills History
Project papers for 1978 through 1990, correspondence,
pamphlets, handwritten notes by Dr. Miller on various
topics including "Random thoughts on Western
History," "Survey of literature related
to the proposed Cendak Project Area in Central South
Dakota," "Seth Bullock," "Black
Hills Tin," "Butch Cassidy in South Dakota,"
and "Buffalo Hunting - East River." Also
included are Darrel L. Kenop’s speeches while
Black Hills National Forest Supervisor, 1987-1991,
and maps from the Black Hills area. The old mining
town of Tinton is one of the many subjects on which
information can be found in this collection.
