From 1906-1943 St. Joseph's Hospital in Deadwood ran a nurses training program. They were the first hospital in South Dakota to establish a nursing school. While it existed the school trained 167 nurses. St. Joseph's Hospital was a predecessor of Northern Hills General Hospital.
Contains one scrapbook, the scrapbook mainly contains photographs of reunions from 1980's and newspaper clippings, including obituaries, about the reunions and members. There are several historical photographs and pieces of ephemera that are from earlier times, including a graduation announcement from 1916.
This scrapbook bears the name and address of Lora R. Sperling of Deadwood, presumably the creator and donor.
