Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a library service for requesting materials from other libraries and is free to BHSU students, faculty, staff, and public patrons. Questions about Interlibrary Loan can be answered at Interlibrary Loan FAQ.
Before submitting an Interlibrary Loan request, be sure that BHSU Library does not already own the item, that it is not in the online databases, and that it is not available for free online.
Have you checked:
- Aquabrowser our online catalog for books, DVDs, CDs, videos and print editions of our journals collection
- Electronic Journals database for articles from journals and newspapers
- Google Scholar for free online article and e-book access
After determining that the item is not available from any of the above sources, use the online Interlibrary Loan form below for requesting the material. For faster service, include as much information as possible about the item. If you are a Distance Student (students who are currently enrolled in only Distance Learning courses offered by BHSU and do not reside in Spearfish), please include your home mailing address in the patron notes box.
